Dr. Jenny Chou is a board certified ophthalmologist in her private practice in Sacramento, California. She was born in Taiwan and raised in Pittsburg, Kansas. After graduating from high school in Pittsburg, she attended University of California at Berkeley. She graduated double major with high honors in Integrative Biology and Psychology in 1999. She then received full scholarship from the United States Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program to study medicine at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Chou completed her internship and ophthalmology residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. After her residency, she served at the Eglin Air Force Base as the Chief of Ophthalmology.
After serving eight years with the United States Air Force, she separated from the military to return home. Dr. Chou and her husband are now happily settled in Sacramento with their children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and children.

For certain conditions a variety of specialized tests are used to provide accurate diagnosis. These tests require complex, modern equipment and are performed by specially trained technicians. The tests include: visual field examinations, fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, and ultrasonic corneal pachymetry measurements. We also have the newest equipment for corneal topography and glaucoma diagnosis.
